Who is Nathan Desai?

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my site. However you happened to have stumbled upon this page, I am so glad to have you here. Assuming I am the Nathan Desai you were looking for (There are approximately a whopping dozen of us in the United States.), congratulations on reaching your destination. Whether it was my resume, Google (or Yahoo if you’re old like my parents) or something else that brought you here, I hope you have a wonderful stay. But first, I’m sure you’d like to know more about where you are.

As you know, my name is Nathan Desai. I am a junior and Trustee Scholar with a major in Journalism and minors in Law & Public Policy and Sports Media Studies at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. I am heavily involved with our school’s multi-platform news organization Annenberg Media where I current serve as a TV executive producer, having previously been a sports editor, TV director, sports anchor and multimedia journalist. I have also previously provided live coverage on USC basketball for KXSC, USC’s student-run radio station.

I previously attended Monta Vista High School, where I served as a staff writer, news columnist, sports editor and — lastly — editor-in-chief of El Estoque, the school’s nationally-acclaimed student newsmagazine and website. I myself have also been recognized by a variety of scholastic journalism institutions but I take more pride in being a Mama’s Boy. I have also interned at Wasserman, the Los Altos Town Crier and Stanford Daily which does get a bit dicey when I tell my fellow Trojans about my journalism background.

I’ve done stories and packages on everything from amendments to zoos and that isn’t even the tip of the iceberg. Check out the Highlights tab at the top of the page to view my can’t-miss pieces or feel free to take your time and peruse all my work which is categorized by format and publication. If you want to see what I’ve been up to recently, you can follow me on Twitter and Instagram.

And please remember to remain seated until the aircraft comes to a full stop. Thank you so much and enjoy your visit!
